Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

We could not be happier that 2007 has finally come to an end and we look forward with great optimism towards the future. It may have been a quiet year for DF but without any regret. We spent the majority of the year developing many upcoming projects as well as polishing our film techniques to further the experience we offer in our films. With tests varying from a DTS 5.1 track to the start of a visual effects division, our group is hungry for challenges and experiences while telling some of our stories.

For the first time, we have formed a group of talented individuals that share an equal passion for producing films, and with their determination coupled with investments in higher quality equipment, 2008 calls for some exciting times.

We all still have much to learn, however, at least for the time being, we're finally proud to say that we have been working very hard to create a natural educational environment for ourselves to better ourselves as filmmakers.

DTS 5.1 AND DOLBY DIGITAL

Dudzik Films is proud to announce that starting November 1st, all of the upcoming films will feature a DTS 5.1 track as well as a Dolby Digital 5.1 track for your hearing pleasure.

Martin Dudzik was just recently chosen as the recipient of the Kodak Cinematography Apprenticeship offered by the National Apprenticeship Training Program.

Launched in 1984, the National Apprenticeship Training Program (NATP) is the Academy's longest-running and most successful professional development program. Since 1986, the program has placed over 150 film and television graduates with established industry professionals.

The NATP is designed to provide hand-on apprenticeship experience within a professional environment for students who have completed post-secondary film, television, communications or related studies. Its purpose is to expose talented students to the labour market, easing their career entry into the industry.

Comprised of leading industry professionals, an Academy NATP jury selects the top students in the country to receive paid training on professional productions.

PRE-PRODUCTION BEGINS FOR "THE GREATEST GIFT"

It is May 1st, 2007 and the newest Dudzik Films project is well underway. The script is titled "The Greatest Gift" and it's set to be written and directed by up and coming director Brett Fernets. Martin Dudzik will be producing the film, as well as providing the cinematography, editing, sound design and music composition.

The film is scheduled to start shooting JUNE 11TH, 2007 for a hopeful release on AUGUST 26th, 2007.

COMPLETION OF "THREE A.M "

Just recently completed work on a Capilano College production titled "Three A.M" with Director Doug Kerr, and Producer Iris Bencivenga. Martin Dudzik acted as the Line Producer, Director of Photography and Composer. The film was just recently sent out into the festival circuit with hopes to acquire recognition.

"THICKER THAN WATER" AT YOUNG CUTS

We're proud to announce that Thicker than Water - the most recent film directed by Martin Z. Dudzik has received an award for BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY for a second year in a row at the YoungCuts film festival.

Friday through Sunday August 20, the YoungCuts Film Festival showcased 50 independent, short films by trend-setting directors, their casts and crews in Montreal. The Festival has reached out to thousands of filmmakers to identify, the best films from qualifying directors. The chosen films are unique, entertaining and otherwise unavailable to the viewing public.

This past Thursday evening, stars Tom Sizemore, Chris Potter, Nina Siemaszko, Maxim Roy, Devon Gummersall, and Phil Price helped kick off the film fest in Montreal. The Opening Gala wowed the audience and the stars, and featured competition contenders Quebec, Quebec and Idaho. The short films were followed by a Q&A session with the stars at which they encouraged filmmakers to just “do it”.
