MARTIN DUDZIK

Martin Dudzik is an award winning director and cinematographer as well as a composer, television editor, and sound engineer. Other skills include Event Organizer, Graphic Design, Print Publications, and WEB Design.

Martin Dudzik (Marcin Dudzik), was born in Lubartow, Poland on May 22. He spent most of his childhood in Athens, Greece until moving to Vancouver, Canada with his family. Martin's passion for filmmaking began at the age of 12 and later developed in n high school where he began taking film courses and created several short films with his friends. These short films eventually grew into film festival award winning short films that would later catapult him into the world of film and television.

Dudzik decided to be an independent filmmaker from the moment he fell in love with the art of creating false realities.

In 2009 he was one of the technical organizers of the Cross Canada Century Flight where more than 100 small planes flewacross the country, from Boundary Bay, B.C., to Baddeck, N.S., in a journey marking the 100th anniversary of flight in Canada. J.D. McCurdy was the first person to fly an airplane in the British Empire when he flew the Silver Dart off the ice on Bras d'Or Lake in Nova Scotia in 1909. With the succsess of the Cross Canada Century Flight he was also part of the Yukon Midnight Sun Challenge in 2010, a flight where 100 airplanes flew for an adventure to the Yukon.

Martin's last 3 films: Joe's Package (2004); Calendar Leaves (2005); and Thicker Than Water (2006) have each had their share of awards and distinctions. One of the most recent films "Thicker than Water" won Best Cinematography at the Young Cuts Film Festival awarding Martin with a second consequite cinematography award at Young Cuts. The Film "Calendar Leaves" won Best Film and Best Cinematography at the Young Cuts Film Festival (2005) in Toronto, and Best Film and Best Directing awards at the B.C Student Film Festival (2006). His most awarded film was Joe's Package, winning 1st place Senior Narrative, Best Director, Best Actor , Best Cinematography, and Most Promising Filmmaker awards (2004 B.C. Student Film Festival.)

Martin's key credits include: Cinematography, Orchestral Composing, Directing, Television Editing, Sound Designing and Producing.
